TELETEXT – ITAF Launch Event
The International Teletext Art Festival (ITAF) starts now.
Inspired with the 30st anniversary of Teletext in Finland FixC
cooperative (www.fixc.fi) has produced an International Teletext Art
Festival in collaboration with YLE.
Participating artists: Rich Oglesby, Ashley Anderson, Erkka Nissinen,
Guillermo Blanco, Raquel Meyers, Tuomo Kangasmaa, Frederic Cambus, Dan
Needham, Juha van Ingen, Janne Suni, Frederico Malaca, Nathaniel
Mellors, Max Capacity, Gabriel de la Cruz, Jarkko Räsänen, Dan
Farrimond, Seppo Renvall, BYM and Kari Yli Annala,
The artworks are shown on the YLE Teletext pages 525-545 from March 8
until April 8 2012.
The opening party/ TELETEXT evening takes place on Thursday, March 8,
at 6?9 pm at XL Art Space (Vuorikatu 22, 00100 Helsinki). Free
entrance.
Programme: Teletext art and music (BMTD63 providing the music) + guest
star Yrjänä Sauros.
