Brainstorming the activities of Mushrooming, network of small studios in HKI

Let’s have some coffee and tea and refresh our thoughts on what all different kinds of ideas we had on how to tune up our network! Every new crazy invention is also welcome! And happily we will have also some resources, so one does not need to imagine things according to the most minimum budget.

Interest/passion/motivation

My interest is to empower grass-root cultures by linking actors and their resources together. I have a feeling, that lot's of design happens also in small studios in midst of everyday-life inventions. I also think, that it is this kind of bottom-up development that keeps cities alive, not only their culture, but even economically alive.

Impact

I wish to make it visible, that there exist alternative ways of doing design, in comparison to the professional and expert led thinking of design. And that in these alternative ways there lies an extra potential due to their being so vividly embedded to contemporary everyday life.

Audience

First of all all the people who are doing things that can be considered design or design thinking. And then all the people who dream of doing things but have not yet found their links.
